Job summary

Henry Tyndale School in Farnborough is seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with complex needs. You will create a safe, inclusive learning environment and lead support staff while coordinating with parents and external professionals.

We welcome both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about inclusive education and delivering outstanding learning experiences for children with SEND.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards completion of an ECT programme.

As a class teacher, you will:

• Lead, manage and motivate learning support assistants effectively.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress and achievement.

Henry Tyndale School is a successful and highly regarded special school for pupils aged 2-19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism and complex needs. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our dedicated team and help our pupils achieve their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about inclusive education and are committed to delivering outstanding learning experiences for children and young people with complex learning difficulties.

Desirable

• Experience of teaching pupils with SEND, particularly those with PMLD, SLD and/or ASD.
• Knowledge of approaches such as Makaton, TEACCH, PECS, Intensive Interaction, Sensory Integration and Objects of Reference.
• Experience of leading and managing support staff.
• Experience of leading a curriculum area or subject.
• Additional qualifications relating to Special Educational Needs.
• Team Teach or other positive behaviour support training.
