Are you a passionate and resilient Special Needs Teacher with a heart for making a difference? We are looking for an exceptional educator to join our dedicated team at a specialist school in Coventry supporting children and young people with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
h3>About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to work in a highly supportive, therapeutic environment tailored to meet the complex needs of pupils aged 7-16. You will lead a small class, delivering creative and personalised learning experiences that promote academic growth, emotional development, and life skills.
h3>Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons in line with EHCP targets
- Create a structured, nurturing classroom that encourages emotional regulation and self-confidence
- Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and external professionals
- Track progress and celebrate every success, big or small
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and inclusive practice
h3>The Ideal Candidate:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
- Experience working with children with autism and/or SEMH needs
- Strong behaviour management and trauma-informed practice
- A reflective, compassionate, and adaptive teaching style
- Commitment to teamwork and whole-child development
