Job summary

Senploy is recruiting for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant at an infant school in Norfolk to support pupils with a range of needs within a generous classroom setting. The role focuses on helping learners access learning, build confidence, and participate in activities designed for pre-key stage development.

You will collaborate closely with teachers and SEND staff, supporting pupils with EHCPs and promoting inclusive education while maintaining high safeguarding standards in a welcoming

Qualifications

• Previous SEND experience is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs and complex learning needs.
• Understanding of pre-key stage learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support a complex cohort containing pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Provide academic support to pupils working below age-related expectations.
• Work closely with pupils who have EHCPs.
• Support learning activities within a pre-key stage curriculum.
• Help pupils access classroom learning and interventions.
• Encourage positive engagement and independence.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, and external professionals.
• Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
