Job summary

Axcis Education in Sutton is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with PMLD and ASD. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to help learners access learning, develop communication skills, build confidence and independence. You will work closely with teachers and therapists in a positive, inclusive setting.

Personal care responsibilities are essential. DBS checks and safeguarding are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND, PMLD or ASD preferred.
• Patient, reliable and proactive approach to learning support.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to primary pupils.
• Support learning access, communication development and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to create inclusive learning environments.
• Perform personal care tasks as required.
