We’re currently recruiting for a SEND Support Worker to join an inclusive Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.
You’ll be joining a nurturing school that places inclusion, wellbeing and individual pupil development at the heart of its approach. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to provide consistent support for pupils with additional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in SEND, care, youth work or education who wants to make a genuine difference to a child’s day-to-day experience at school.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support
Supporting pupils with SEND to access classroom learning
Helping pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills
Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Following individual support plans and strategies
Encouraging independence and confidence
Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals
Providing feedback on pupil progress and wellbeing
Requirements or Skills:
Previous experience supporting children or young people
Experience working with SEND is highly desirable
Experience with autism, ADHD or SEMH would be advantageous
Calm, patient and nurturing approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work as part of a wider school team
A genuine commitment to inclusion and safeguarding

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
