Job summary

The Lanes Primary School in Nottingham is seeking a two-year temporary teaching assistant to support children with SEND, working one-to-one or in small groups alongside class teachers and the Inclusion Team.

Experience with complex additional needs is welcomed; you will implement individualised strategies, promote emotional regulation, help pupils access learning and uphold safeguarding policies. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Prior experience of working with children who have complex additional needs

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEND on a one-to-one or group basis
• Implement individualised support strategies with class teachers, the Inclusion Team and other professionals
• Promote pupils' emotional regulation
• Develop pupils' independence
• Help pupils access learning and take part in school life
• Meet safeguarding responsibilities and follow the Trust's safeguarding policies
