Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a SEND Support Officer to coordinate SEND meetings and decisions, support families and professionals, and maintain accurate records. This role helps ensure statutory responsibilities are met in a safeguarding-focused environment.

The post is hybrid, permanent, based at Meadow House, Mansfield, with 37 and 18.5 hour patterns. Opportunities for development and a commitment to child welfare are highlights.

Formación

• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and processes.
• Experience in administrative roles, preferably in children's services, education or social care.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintaining databases.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and track SEND meetings, panels, and decisions to ensure timely progression.
• Support the processing of EHC needs assessments, annual reviews, and school placement consultations.
• Act as a key point of contact for families, professionals, and young people.
• Monitor daily attendance for children in alternative provision and take necessary actions.
• Maintain accurate records on systems like MOSAIC and other databases.
• Provide data analysis to support service planning and performance.
• Ensure discussions and decisions are recorded consistently.
• Uphold confidentiality and raise safeguarding concerns promptly.
• Assist with SEND funding processes.
