Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to support in the administration processes relating to Children and Young People with Special, Educational Needs where they are undergoing an Education Health and Care Plan Assessment, have an Education, Health and Care Plan or where they are referred to the SEND Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in the development and maintenance of efficient procedures and systems that will improve the effectiveness of the SEND service.
  • To be the front line of communication between the SEND Service, parents/carers, all educational establishments and supporting services on day to day issues regarding the assessment and ongoing review of Children or Young People with SEND.
  • To support the work of the Service in managing their caseload of Children and Young People with SEND where they are undergoing an Education Health and Care Plan Needs Assessment, have an Education, Health and Care Plan or where they are referred to the SEND Service.
  • To provide administrative support across the SEND Service.

Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with parents and schools and to advise and support senior officers.
  • Ability to prioritise and take responsibility for your own workload.
  • Ability to use your initiative to respond to unexpected problems using recognised procedures & policies as a guide.
  • Able to use computer packages for word processing, spreadsheets, databases and researching information.
  • The ability and experience to analyse and interpret data and present it effectively to various audiences to inform decision-making.
