Job summary

Castle Employment Group is seeking a SEND Support Assistant to join a Leeds school. You will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities and promoting positive behaviour.

You should have experience as a SEND TA or Learning Support Assistant, knowledge of ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs, and a patient, nurturing approach. Flexible working options are available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant or similar.
• Knowledge of SEND needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language).
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA, Care, or SEND desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and small group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities.
• Support children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
• Help implement EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
