Job summary

Bolton School Girls’ Division is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated Learning Support team. You will support pupils with SEND, helping them access learning, build confidence and become more independent, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including learning, communication, social, emotional and physical needs.
• Working alongside teachers to ensure pupils can fully access the curriculum.
• Encouraging confidence, resilience, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
• Delivering targeted interventions and support programmes as directed by the SENDCo.
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress and contributing to review meetings where appropriate.
• Assisting with the preparation and adaptation of learning resources.
• Supporting the use of assistive technology and other learning tools.
• Promoting pupils' wellbeing, personal development and positive behaviour.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals to support pupil success.
