Job summary

The Federation Abbey Infant and Junior School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant Level 2 to join our committed team. The role involves providing additional support during lessons and at lunchtimes, especially for pupils with SEND.

The successful candidate should be proactive, caring, and able to work flexibly within a school environment. An enhanced DBS and satisfactory references are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Good GCSE English and Maths (Level 2).
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Ability to support children with varying needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support during lessons and lunchtimes.
• Work across the school predominantly with children with SEND.
• Assist with first aid when required (training provided).
• Observe and record assessments and contribute to educational judgments.
