Forever Teaching LTD in Bolton is seeking a SEND Support Assistant for a mainstream secondary school. You will provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEND and help ensure all students can access the curriculum.

The role involves working collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs, developing and implementing IEPs, and supporting pupils during breaks and small-group interventions. The position is long-term with potential to become permanent for the right candidate, paying £107-£120 per day.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with young people with SEND in a school or similar setting.
• Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable, proactive, and committed to making a difference.
• Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with a range of learning difficulties and SEND.
• Offer general classroom support, ensuring all students can access the curriculum effectively.
• Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that helps students thrive.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to tailor strategies for individual needs.
• Support students outside of lessons, including during break times or in small group interventions.
