Job summary

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant to support learning for secondary students during a fixed-term maternity cover. The role involves working with individuals and small groups to promote inclusion and personalised learning.

The post holder should have experience with secondary pupils, motivate learners, and be proficient with technology for learning. The Trust offers CPD and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • The post holder should have experience of working with secondary school age students to support their learning and be able to demonstrate their ability to motivate students.
  • Have a secure understanding of the learning process and what motivates young people in their learning.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Job description

SALARY: Band D SCP 9 – 17 £28,155 - £32,046 per annum pro rata (£15,606 - £17,763 per annum)

HOURS: 22.5 hours per week, term time + 2 weeks

REQUIRED FOR: As soon as possible

This post is fixed term to cover maternity leave
