Vision for Education is proud to be the MSP for Ascent Academies' Trust and is looking for SEND Supply Teachers to work across the Trust's specialist academies in the North East. We offer regular day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities throughout the academic year.

As a SEND Supply Teacher, you'll plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons, adapt learning to meet individual needs and create a positive, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• QTS and experience working in educational settings.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Willingness to collaborate with Teaching Assistants and wider support staff.

The Role

As a SEND Supply Teacher, you'll work within specialist settings supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

Depending on the placement, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons, adapting learning to meet individual needs and creating a positive, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

You'll work closely with Teaching Assistants, support staff and other professionals to ensure pupils receive the individualised support they need to engage with learning and make progress.

Requirements

To be considered for a SEND Supply Teacher role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND
• The ability to adapt teaching and communication to meet individual needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, positive and resilient approach
• The flexibility to adapt to different specialist settings
• The ability to work effectively alongside Teaching Assistants and wider support teams

Previous SEND experience is desirable but not always essential.
