Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is recruiting experienced teachers to join the Specialist Teaching Service, supporting schools to meet the needs of learners with SEND.

The role requires a qualified teacher with degree and a specialist SEND qualification (or working towards one), plus extensive SEND experience and the ability to train staff. You will work with schools to build confidence and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with degree, plus a specialist SEND postgrad or working towards one.
• Extensive SEND experience across mainstream and SEND settings.
• Ability to train and support school staff and leaders in SEND practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training to primary and secondary staff on SEND needs and strategies.
• Support schools to increase staff knowledge and confidence in meeting SEND needs.
• Influence and support senior leaders with evidence-based SEND practice.
• Empower families and service users and coordinate with the team around the child.
