Warwickshire County Council is seeking experienced teachers to join the Specialist Teaching Service. The role is full time during term time, across three bases: Rugby, Bedworth, and Warwick. You will bring strong mainstream and SEND experience to support schools in meeting SEND needs.
You will work to build confidence and capacity, deliver training, coach staff, and collaborate with leaders to promote inclusive practices, with a focus on vulnerable learners.
We are looking to recruit experienced and skilled teachers to join Warwickshire’s Specialist Teaching Service. The service supports schools to develop their strategic response to meeting the needs of learners with SEND, including needs relating to cognition and learning, social, emotional and mental health, and communication and interaction.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled teacher with strong mainstream and SEND experience to join a service with over twenty years’ experience of working in partnership with schools through traded specialist support.
This role will support the delivery of Warwickshire’s Local Authority Experts at Hand offer, while also working as part of the traded Specialist Teaching Service to support schools to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with schools and staff to build confidence, capacity and inclusive practice. They will be skilled, organised and flexible, with the ability to work effectively in a high‑pressure environment and manage competing demands.
We welcome candidates with a strong commitment to professional, school‑facing support and to improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils.
A qualified teacher, educated to degree level, with a specialist SEND postgraduate qualification, or working towards one, and/or extensive experience of working with learners with SEND.
