Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Blandford Forum from October half term on a full-time basis. You will support pupils with SEND and work with teachers, therapists and support staff to help learners access learning.

The role focuses on promoting engagement, confidence and independence, with opportunities to contribute to behaviour support, small group interventions and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in education settings, SEND settings, care, youth work or similar environments.
• Ability to start with minimal supervision and hit the ground running.
• Understanding of challenges and rewards in specialist education.
• Demonstrates resilience, patience, adaptability, and professionalism.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Committed to helping young people reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Providing classroom support to students with a range of SEND needs.
• Delivering targeted interventions and small group activities.
