Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a SEND & SEMH Support Assistant to join a supportive primary school where inclusion and pupil wellbeing are at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will support pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them access learning while building confidence, independence, and positive relationships.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, working with pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs, delivering intervention

Qualifications

• Recent experience within a UK primary school in the last 2 years.
• SEND and/or SEMH experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, nurturing attitude.
• Passion for helping every child succeed.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
• Delivering intervention sessions alongside the class teacher
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and behaviour management
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
• Helping create an inclusive learning environment
