SEND Secondary Maths Teacher Needed

Are you passionate about helping young people with SEND achieve their full potential through Maths? We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive secondary SEND school seeking a dedicated Secondary Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Maths Teacher to join our thriving, collaborative learning community. In this role, you will deliver tailored Math lessons to small classes of Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will teach a modified version of the National Curriculum, preparing students for a range of relevant qualifications. Class sizes vary and you will work closely alongside an experienced support team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons that are adapted to the needs of KS3 and KS4 pupils.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes positive and safe behaviour.
  • Manage small groups of children with complex social communication needs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by teaching other subject areas as required.
What We Are Looking For
  • Qualifications: A relevant teaching qualification (QTS,). We warmly welcome applications from primary-trained teachers keen to transition to KS3 and KS4.
  • Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills, alongside strong core literacy and numeracy.
  • Collaboration: The ability to work closely with parents, carers, teachers, and a wider trans-disciplinary team.
  • Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working with SEND pupils-particularly those on the Autistic Spectrum-and managing challenging behaviour is highly desirable, though not essential.
  • Attributes: A confident, enthusiastic professional with a genuine passion for learning and the ability to build strong relationships with young people.
