Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in Bury is seeking a School Support Worker to support 11-19 pupils with complex SEND in a SEND school. You will work as part of a calm, child-centered team to promote independence and engagement, with responsibilities including assisting with personal care where needed and supporting behaviour management.

The role runs 8.30am-3.00pm, starts 3 September 2026, and offers CPD access, weekly PAYE pay, and career progression support through a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or adults as a Support Worker.
• Willing to provide personal care and work in a SEND environment.
• DBS checks and safeguarding knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support 11–19 pupils with complex SEND in daily activities.
• Assist with personal care and adapt activities to needs.
• Support positive behaviour and de-escalation in classroom.
