Job summary

Bedford Borough Council is seeking a Project Support Officer (SEND Reforms) to provide key coordination and administrative support for the Local SEND Reform Plan. The role will work alongside project managers and a broad range of partners to keep actions on track and maintain schedules, trackers, and documentation.

Ideal candidates will be highly organised with attention to detail, comfortable supporting complex projects and collaborating across organisations.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing project, programme, education, health or care administration.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Confident maintaining project schedules, trackers, records and documentation.
• Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and Teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across organisations and independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate meetings and events for the SEND Reform programme.
• Maintain project schedules and trackers to ensure milestones are met.
• Support monitoring and reporting; ensure information is accurate and accessible.
• Support documentation and records management across partners.
