Job summary

Oldham Council is seeking a SEND Project Manager to drive delivery of national SEND reforms in Oldham within a fixed-term three-year appointment. The role sits in Children and Young People’s Services Integration and requires strong programme leadership to ensure benefits realisation and adherence to time, cost and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading, developing, managing and monitoring complex projects within large organisations.
• Experience undertaking change management and communicating with stakeholders to drive efficiency.
• Ability to motivate and lead a project team to deadlines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues across the system to craft a robust approach to programme and project management that supports delivery and timely issue resolution.
• Provide proportionate support for projects, researching best practices and ensuring solutions fit Oldham.
• Assure benefits realisation for projects, including cashable and non-cashable benefits, on time, cost and quality.
• Monitor and manage risks, issues and interdependencies to minimise risk and exploit opportunities for the Council.
