Job summary

The Grange School, part of Keys Group, invites applications for a SEND-primary teacher to plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons for pupils with complex needs. The role is based at The Grange School in Castleford, West Yorkshire, and includes a supportive induction and collaborative team environment.

Requirements include a committed SEND focus, a minimum of two years’ SEND experience, and QTS/QTLS.

Qualifications

  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND.
  • At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
  • QTS/QTLS is a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, teach, and assess a range of subjects to support KS1 and KS2 progression.
  • Deliver lessons, support positive behaviour, and ensure students feel safe to learn.
  • Follow school systems; we will support you with a full induction and a supportive team.
  • Assist with report writing, help expand curriculum documents, data collection, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Create engaging and safe learning environments.

Purpose of the Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, teach, and assess a range of subjects and learning to support students’ progression within KS1 and KS2.
  • Work as part of the team to deliver lessons, support positive behaviour, and to make students feel safe so that they can learn and achieve.
  • Follow whole school systems to teaching and learning. We will support you with a full induction, we are a very supportive team.
  • Support with report writing, help to expand our curriculum documents as part of a team, data collection, and clearly communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Create engaging and safe learning environments.
