Job summary

Witherslack Group is recruiting a Pastoral Support Assistant at Queensmead House School in Windsor. You will help meet the emotional needs of pupils with complex needs, applying high standards of care and developing tailored programmes for each child.

You’ll work with families, engage in planning, and foster a positive learning environment where every pupil can thrive. Ideal candidates have ASC/SEMH experience, safeguarding knowledge, and ideally NVQ 3 in Care or Level 2 Teaching Assistant.

Qualifications

• Experience with ASC, ADHD or SEMH pupils and working with families in challenging circumstances.
• Experience of multi-agency work and understanding of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
• Ideally NVQ 3 in Care or Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support emotional and behavioural needs of pupils and develop programmes for individual young people.
• Create a positive learning environment where every pupil can thrive through careful assessment and planning.
• Collaborate with families and school teams to ensure consistent pastoral care.
