Job summary

Outwood Grange Academy in Wakefield is seeking a SEND Officer to coordinate support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The role is permanent, 37 hours per week during term time plus five days, with a Monday-Thursday 08:00–16:00 pattern and Friday 08:00–15:30.

The post sits within the Inclusion Team and involves collaborating with families, staff and external agencies to ensure every pupil reaches their potential while maintaining SEND Code of Practice compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate support for students with SEND in collaboration with families, academy staff and external agencies.
• Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and related statutory guidance.
• Support the Inclusion Team to monitor and enhance SEND provision across the academy.
