Lift Clacton, part of Lift Schools, is seeking a SEND Mentor to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work with individuals and small groups to build self-regulation, confidence and independent learning.

You will collaborate with teachers and the SEND team, delivering targeted interventions and maintaining records to track progress and impact. Experience with SEND and safeguarding is essential to help students overcome barriers to learning.

Formación

• Experience of working with children or young people, preferably in education.
• Understanding of SEND and barriers to learning.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and small groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with teachers and SEND staff.
• Good organisational and time-management skills and ability to maintain records.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.

Responsabilidades

• Organise and deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions focused on self-regulation, confidence, resilience and independence.
• Help students understand their learning profiles, recognise strengths and develop study strategies.
• Create SMART targets, monitor progress and review impact of interventions.
• Provide practical advice, guidance and support to students with SEND, inside and outside the classroom.
• Work with the SENDCo and teachers to share strategies and support adaptive teaching.
• Plan and facilitate out-of-class learning opportunities for students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Support inclusion and participation in educational visits and wider school activities.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions, targets and progress.
