Lewisham is seeking a caring Lunchtime Supervisor for a welcoming specialist primary school in Bellingham, Lewisham, starting in November 2026. The role involves supervising lunchtime activities, supporting pupils with ASD and complex needs, and helping with eating and personal care to ensure safety and inclusion.

Applicants should be reliable and patient, with a willingness to learn and follow safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

Patient, caring and understanding of children's individual needs.
Reliable and punctual, able to work as part of a team.
Confident supporting children with additional needs, or keen to develop SEND experience.
Willing to learn and follow school policies.

Responsabilités

Supervise pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall, playground and designated areas.
Support children with ASD and complex needs to participate safely in lunchtime routines.
Assist pupils with eating, drinking and developing independence where appropriate.
Provide aspects of personal care, maintaining pupils' dignity, privacy and wellbeing.
Encourage positive behaviour, social interaction and communication.
Support pupils with reassurance, structure or help managing transitions.
Promote a calm, safe and inclusive environment.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety and personal care procedures.
Work collaboratively with teachers, TAs and other school staff.
