TeacherActive is recruiting a Lunchtime Supervisor for a primary SEND school in Selly Oak, Birmingham. The role is full-time and long-term with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will monitor children during lunch, support eating and personal care, supervise play, and maintain positive behaviour while working closely with teachers and staff. Experience with SEND and a caring, vigilant approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in SEND or primary settings.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Caring, vigilant approach with strong communication skills.
• Ability to monitor safety and supervise lunchtime activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor children during lunch breaks.
• Assist with eating and personal care where required.
• Supervise play and promote positive behaviour.
• Respond to incidents appropriately and calmly.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff.
