Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a Leeds-based Alternative Provision to appoint a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant. The role supports mixed-age learners with SEND, helping them engage, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes both in and out of the classroom.

The successful candidate will work long-term from September, collaborating with teachers and staff to tailor support for a range of needs, including SEMH, ASD and ADHD, within a safe and nurturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Experience working with pupils with additional needs including SEMH, ASD and ADHD.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Flexible and proactive attitude.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Alternative Provision in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant. The setting supports mixed-age learners with a range of SEND needs and is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to students with a range of SEND needs, helping to promote engagement, confidence and positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
