Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Learning Care Assistant in Bradford for a SEND school, starting September. You will support pupils across the school, promoting independence and assisting with personal, social and emotional development throughout the day.

Experience with SEND, a caring and patient approach, strong communication, and the ability to work well in a team are essential. Roles can be short-term or long-term, with PAYE payroll and on-going consultant support.

The school is looking to appoint a Learning Care Assistant on either a short-term or long-term basis, starting in September. The successful Learning Care Assistant will work closely with pupils across the school, supporting their learning, promoting independence and assisting with their personal, social and emotional development throughout the school day.

The successful Learning Care Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• A caring, patient and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to support students with a range of additional learning needs
• A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and development
• Flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
