Job summary

Charles Saer Community Primary School in Fleetwood (Lancashire) seeks two compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support EHCP pupils, 25 hours weekly, term-time only. The role is paid at Grade 5, temporary until April 2027, with safeguarding checks and collaboration with the SENCo and school team.

The successful candidates will assist with communication, personal care where needed, and adapt learning to individual needs while promoting a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND, including speech, language and communication needs.

Job description

Charles Saer is a caring, inclusive and welcoming school where every child is supported to flourish. We are seeking two compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) as they begin their school journey. Our school is a happy and exciting place to learn, currently catering for around 240 children between 4 and 11 as we continually reflect on making our provision the very best that it can be. We are looking for someone who is up for this challenge and who will bring their own ideas and passion to really make a difference to our children.

We are looking for a strong team member who has the ability and confidence to use their own initiative, work with individuals and lead groups on their own as well as support the class teacher. This position is offered at 25 hours per week, working 5 days a week, 9am - 3pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break. This is paid at grade 5, working term time only. It is temporary and subject to funding until April 2027.
