Job summary

Senploy seeks a Student Learning & Inclusion Assistant in Redruth to support children and young people who need additional help throughout their learning. Roles include assisting in small groups, breaking tasks into steps, and reinforcing teacher input.

Candidates with experience in schools, care, youth services or community settings are welcome. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) is required. Immediate start and full-time/part-time hours available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children, young people or individuals with additional needs.
• Patience, dependability and ability to adapt approaches to meet individual needs.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Working with small groups.
• Breaking activities into manageable steps.
• Reinforcing learning introduced by the teacher.
• Adapting resources and approaches to suit individual needs.
• Supporting communication and social interaction.
• Encouraging pupils to make choices and work independently.
• Building confidence and resilience.
• Helping pupils manage transitions and changes in routine.
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
• Sharing observations about pupil progress.
