Protocol Education Limited is seeking a full-time Autism Support Worker for a special needs primary school in Barnet. You will support pupils with autism 1:1 and in small groups, working with teachers and therapists to foster a safe, structured and joyful classroom where every small win matters.

The role emphasises nurturing, flexible support, strong communication with pupils, staff and parents, and a commitment to ongoing safeguarding and development training.

Full-Time Autism Support Worker

You’ll be working full-time, supporting children with autism to thrive in a warm, inclusive environment where every small win is a big deal.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism.

• Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to create a safe, structured and joyful learning environment.

• Helping children develop communication, social and emotional skills — and celebrating every step they take.

• Bringing positivity, patience and practical strategies to your role, every single day.

• Someone with experience supporting children with SEND, especially autism (school-based experience is a plus).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
