Protocol Education are partnering with specialist settings in Wiltshire to support autistic pupils with a personalised curriculum that builds academic skills and life competencies. You’ll collaborate with teachers to help learners thrive at school, home and in the community.

About the Role

Protocol Education are working alongside forward-thinking specialist settings in Wiltshire, and are looking for a caring and confident Autism Support Workers.

You’ll work closely with teachers to deliver a personalised, autism friendly curriculum that supports both academic learning and essential life skills. Every pupil has an EHCP, and you’ll play a key role in helping them thrive in the classroom, at home, and in the wider community.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting learners with autism to develop communication, social and life skills
  • Using structured approaches such as TEACCH and personalised anxiety management strategies - Training on these can be provided
  • Promoting inclusion and engagement across lessons and activities
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families

We work with all schools throughout Swindon, Wiltshire, Bristol, Bath, NE Somerset, Somerset, South Glos and surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
