Job summary

The Norton Knatchbull School is offering a Learning Support Assistant apprenticeship with a focus on SEND. This Level 3 apprenticeship runs 35 hours per week during term time, 08:00 to 15:30, starting immediately.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups with students aged 11–18 who face learning challenges, including SEMH, ASD/ASC and ADHD. You will engage and motivate students, keep detailed records, and collaborate with teachers, parents and carers to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to access learning.
• Keep detailed records of learning and provide feedback to teachers.
• Organise and deliver small group interventions.
• Support colleagues and contribute to pupil outcomes.
• Safeguard and promote wellbeing of pupils.
• Provide administrative support to the Inclusion Manager.
