Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is helping a SEN provision in Rushden recruit a Learning Support Assistant (SEND). You will support pupils with cognition and learning difficulties, ASD, and communication needs, delivering learning activities and promoting inclusion.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, ASAP start. You will work closely with teachers to plan and differentiate tasks, build positive relationships, and support emotional wellbeing to help pupils reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Caring and enthusiastic about helping children with SEN.
• Commitment to inclusion and equality.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Understanding of structured routines and positive behaviour support.
• Adaptable, reliable, team player.
• Experience with autism or learning difficulties would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to understand instructions and engage with activities.
• Assist with planning, preparing and delivering learning activities.
• Differentiate tasks to meet individual needs.
• Promote independence and communication skills.
• Monitor pupil wellbeing and report concerns.
• Foster inclusion and positive relationships within the school.
• Support pupils' personal care where required.
