Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for an outstanding special needs school near Horsham. You will support students aged 5-18 with diverse learning difficulties, including ASD, providing 1:1 help and aiding group activities in a collaborative setting.

The role offers permanent employment, term-time only, with on-site parking and clear progression via fully funded training and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience working in SEND settings is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work 1:1 with students and in groups.
• Willingness to train and gain qualifications on the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching assistance according to planning.
• Work 1:1 with students and support group/individual activities.
• Support learners to develop work and wellbeing within school routines.
• Assist teachers with management strategies to maintain a purposeful environment.
