Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants to work across Southampton and Hampshire, providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEND. You will collaborate with teachers, the SENDCo, and other professionals to implement IEPs and support strategies in a safe, inclusive setting.

The role offers ongoing temporary work with potential for extension, CPD and Team Teach training, and competitive rates of pay.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Patience, empathy and a proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Qualifications or training in education or SEND desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND including 1:1 and small group sessions.
• Support pupils in the classroom and help them engage with learning activities.
• Assist with the implementation of IEPs and support strategies.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Liaise effectively with teaching staff and other support professionals.
