Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant in Ebbw Vale to support learners with ALN and help them reach their full potential.   • Support learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including autism, ADHD, and other complex physical and behavioural needs.
  • Work closely with pupils aged 3‑19 in both one-to-one and small group settings.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning experiences that meet individual needs.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every learner can thrive.
  • Encourage young people to become confident, ambitious, and valued members of their community.

The school caters for pupils from primary age through to sixth form, ensuring each learner receives the personalised support they need at every stage of their educational journey. What We're Looking For

  • A positive, caring, and patient approach.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with ALN.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to remain adaptable, compassionate, and calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or willingness to register.
  • Two professional references.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous but is not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
