Job summary

Macmillan Academy is seeking Learning Mentors to support students identified as having special educational needs and disabilities. Your role will involve working with students in lessons and on an individual basis, across all year groups, as directed by the SENDCo.

You will need qualifications to at least A Level with GCSE in English and maths, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be a good team player who can form constructive rapport to engage learners.

Qualifications

• Have qualifications to at least A Level standard with GCSE in both English and maths.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be a good team player.
• Be able to form a constructive rapport with students to enable them to engage successfully with learning.

Responsibilities

• Support students identified as having special educational needs and disabilities.
• Work with students in lessons and on an individual basis, across all year groups, as directed by the SENDCo.
• Assist with safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
