Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a fantastic SEND school in Taunton that is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) from September. The HLTA will support teaching and learning across the school, deliver interventions, cover lessons when required and work with students 1:1 and in small groups to meet a range of additional learning needs.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience supporting children and young people within a SEND setting.
• Confidence leading learning and covering lessons where required.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• A positive, proactive and adaptable approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.

Responsibilities
