Zusammenfassung

St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEND) to work 37 hours per week during term time, plus teacher training days. The HLTA will collaborate with the SENCO to support learners with a range of SEND needs and ensure inclusive participation in lessons.

The role requires experience with SEND, including ASC, SLCN, SEMH and EHCPs, and a focus on individual pupil progress, wellbeing and safeguarding. Temporary position until 31 August 2027.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working with children with SEND.
• Ability to support pupils with ASC, SLCN, SEMH, cognition and learning, physical and sensory needs.
• Experience supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Ability to plan, prepare and deliver learning activities and monitor pupil progress.
• Commitment to safeguarding and completing pre-employment checks.

Aufgaben

• Support learning by working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO.
• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress and provide care, support and supervision as needed.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their targets in an inclusive environment.
