Job summary

Dunstable Icknield Lower School is seeking a SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive staff on a part-time basis (35 hours per week, term-time plus inset days). The post is offered as permanent or fixed-term.

The successful candidate will uphold high expectations for pupil achievement, place the child’s experience at the heart of practice, and help extend learning through our creative curriculum with opportunities for professional development.

Dunstable Icknield Lower School is looking to appoint a SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our talented support staff team.

We are looking for practitioners with high expectations of pupil achievement and progress.

We are looking for applicants who put the experience of the child at the heart of their practice; someone eager to extend children’s learning and makes learning fun.

The successful candidates would set themselves high personal standards and be eager to develop professionally to support the schools’ creative curriculum approach to learning.

The school is part of Scholars’ Education Trust (SET), an established, cross phase, multi-academy trust formed in 2012.

Staff at Dunstable Icknield benefit from shared professional development opportunities, collaborative practices, and the expertise of colleagues at Priory Academy, which is also part of the same trust. Priory Academy is the school that most of our Year 4 pupils transition to upon leaving.
