Job summary

Tower Hamlets Council is seeking a motivated Commissioning Officer to support the delivery of the SEND Reform Programme, focusing on commissioning, monitoring and improvement of services to help children and young people receive the right support.

You will work with providers, schools, health partners, families and young people to ensure high-quality services, value for money and positive outcomes, while strengthening inclusion and system-wide improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience in commissioning, contract management or service improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and performance information to drive outcomes.
  • Experience managing provider performance and building effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and present complex information.
  • Good understanding of quality assurance, performance management, and compliance.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
