We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient, and reflective SEND Class Teacher to join a dedicated team at a nurturing and inclusive school for pupils with a range of special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Duties as a SEND Class Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.
  2. Support the holistic development of pupils, including social, emotional, and communication skills.
  3. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to deliver a multidisciplinary approach.
  4. Monitor progress and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and annual reviews.
  5. Establish a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and wellbeing.
Ideal SEND Class Teacher:
  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong interest in SEND.
  • A nurturing, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching and classroom management.
  • A strong understanding of differentiation, sensory needs, and inclusive practice.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Experience with pupils with ASD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD, or complex needs is desirable but not essential – full training provided.
