Job summary

Anglo European School is seeking a SEND Assistant to work with the SENDCo and teachers to support students with Special Educational Needs. The role focuses on literacy and numeracy support to ensure access to the National Curriculum in a mainstream setting.

The position may involve PE support and offers collaboration within a proactive SEND team. Hours are Monday and Friday, 8:45-15:30, 12 hours per week, term time only plus 3 training days.

An enthusiastic SEND Assistant is required to work in partnership with the SENDCo, and classroom teachers to support the progress of students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), in line with the National Curriculum, Code of Practice and school policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be part of a thriving and supportive SEND Team and within the role there is opportunity to further develop specialisms. A proactive, empathic approach and a commitment to inclusive education in a mainstream setting is essential.

Candidates are required to support students with literacy and numeracy and to ensure full access to the National Curriculum by addressing students' needs thereby ensuring that they experience success and learn effectively alongside their peers. This may also include supporting students in PE classes when required.

Hours:

Monday and Friday 8:45-15:30 (12 hours per week)

Term Time only and 3 Training Days

Scale 3, Point 6 - £ 7,588.22 actual gross salary per annum
