Job summary

Engage Education are working with multiple secondary school SEN departments in the Liverpool area who are eager to secure fantastic Apprentice Teaching Assistants to provide outstanding 1:1 & small group SEN support to children with complex learning difficulties.

This SEND Apprentice Teaching Assistant role offers paid £60 – £75 per day during term time, Monday to Friday from September 2026 to July 2027, with FREE online CPD courses across array of subjects and a guaranteed TA qualification

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in any capacity.
• Graduates in Psychology, Education Studies or Neuroscience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conducting specifically tailored 1:1 & small group support for children with SEN
• Creating warm and inspiring atmosphere for children throughout school day
• Creating and sustaining meaningful rapport with students
• Communicating with colleagues and reporting to school SENCO
• Located in one Rochdale secondary school for full academic year
