Step Teachers is seeking a dedicated SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant for full-time daily supply roles in Harpenden and surrounding areas. You will support pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis, helping them access the curriculum and participate in classes.

Ideal candidates will have experience with SEND needs including autism and ADHD, understand EHCPs, and be able to build trusting relationships. DBS within Update Service preferred or willing to obtain one, with weekly PAYE payments.

• Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour and communication.

SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Full-time, daily supply from as soon as possible These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You'll be working on a daily supply basis in Harpenden and the surrounding areas, supporting pupils with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis.

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with a range of SEND including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs
• Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning plans
• Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing social and emotional skills

Ideal SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

• Proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships with individual pupils

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (desirable)
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour and communication
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
