A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wallingford, Oxfordshire is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role that includes two days of classroom teaching per week alongside core SENCO duties.
What you'll be doing:
Leading and managing the school's SEND provision, ensuring best practice and compliance with current legislation
Supporting the strategic development of SEND policy and inclusive provision
Working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to provide coordinated and effective support for children with SEND
Coordinating and maintaining the SEND register, provision mapping, and student records
Providing guidance, training, and professional development to colleagues on inclusive practice
Supporting the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle for all pupils with SEND
Delivering high-quality classroom teaching two days per week
What we're looking for:
A qualified teacher with QTS
Hold (or be working towards) the National Award for SEN Coordination
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education
Proven experience supporting children with a range of needs, including EHCP coordination
Ability to lead, advise, and collaborate with staff and families
Passionate about improving outcomes for all children
