Job description

iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting an experienced EHC plan writer who can work autonomously to produce high-quality EHC plans following an annual review.

The successful candidate must work efficiently and adapt to the client’s plan writing style.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the school’s SEN strategy and policy.
  • Conduct assessments of pupils with SEN to identify needs and monitor progress, including classroom observations and meetings with teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, the school leadership team, parents, and external agencies to develop, implement, and monitor individual support and learning plans.
  • Provide regular updates on pupil progress through reports and meetings with parents.
  • Make referrals and liaise with external professionals such as psychologists, health and social care providers, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists.
  • Offer advice, guidance, and training to teachers on supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in developing schemes of work and learning programmes for pupils with SEN.
  • Support the development and implementation of effective teaching and behaviour management strategies in the classroom.
  • Manage and advise on the school’s SEN budget and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pupil records.
  • Analyze data at school, local, and national levels to develop strategies and interventions.
  • Manage SEN teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to enhance pupil progress and attainment.
  • Stay informed about national and local SEN policies and communicate updates to colleagues.

Hours: 09:00 – 17:00
